Dear Mr Ledwell, Whale Release and Strandings Group:

I am writing you in response to your email of March 10th, 2003 in which you requested comments on Mrs Julie Huntington's presentation at our school in December on Newfoundland whales and ocean ecology.

Based on teacher and student feedback, Mrs Julie Huntington's presentation at our school in December on Newfoundland whales and ocean ecology was a very positive and informative presentation. Mrs. Huntington was very professional and informative and delivered an interactive presentation which served to heighten student interest and knowledge of whales and ocean ecology. Her use of actual whale bones and other articles from our oceans was enthusiastically received by our students and served to reinforce and expand upon concepts and outcomes covered in our social studies and science curriculums.

I hope your organization can secure the funds necessary to continue such presentations and help our students and teachers to become stewards of our ocean ecosystems. We look forward to future visits.

Sincerely,
Shawn Fowlow, Principal
